I OWN MY TISM HOODIE — NEUROSPICY & PROUD
The I Own My Tism Hoodie is about embracing your neurodivergent identity without shame, apology or shrinking yourself to make others comfortable. Inspired by my own neurospicy journey, my experience as a mum to a son with Level 3 non-verbal autism, and my autistic nephew in Christchurch, this design comes from a deeply personal place.
This hoodie is dedicated to those two incredible boys. My hope is that they grow, flourish and thrive in a world that was not always designed with them in mind—a world that still has so much to learn about understanding, accepting and supporting autistic people. They should never have to change who they are to belong. The world must learn to make room for their voices, their needs, their strengths and their beautifully unique ways of experiencing life.
“I Own My Tism” is more than a statement—it’s an act of self-acceptance and pride. It means owning every stim, special interest, sensory need, brilliant idea and wonderfully unique part of who you are. This hoodie was created for neurodivergent people, autism parents, whānau and everyone learning to unmask, take up space and celebrate what makes them different.
Soft, warm and made for everyday comfort, it features a cosy hood and front pouch pocket—perfect for chilly evenings, sensory-comfort days or proudly showing the world that autism is nothing to hide.
